By now you know that my name is Isaiah and I am a Fashion Stylist in New York. This is where I break down who I am a little more.

I began styling in 2013. I got my first refund check in college and I bought a cheap Nikon and went to work. I started doing photo shoots around campus for $15 and then I decided I wanted to do a YouTube channel. I named it Are You Feral and I got 2 girls on campus to help me, it didn’t work lol. So I moved to doing things myself and Slay With Zay was created.

Once I started a new channel under a new name I really began pushing my styling. I would pick different people around campus and go through their closets, pick outfits and locations and shoot content for lookbooks for my channel. I edited the videos and everything. My channel was just the beginning of a journey that I would never even have guessed would happen.

College was never that important to me honestly so once I got my journey in the fashion industry started I went looking for things in different places that I could do possibly over the summer or during breaks, but everything required me to actually be in those places for a longer period of time. So I picked New York and I started the process of saving to move. I connected with friends and moved up during Winter of 2017.

I found a internship on Indeed and my journey had officially begun. I was literally living my dreams. Meeting popular stylists and fashion editors, doing pulls from different showrooms around the city, attending fashion shows and parties, I was living life. Fashion Week came and I was assisting different stylists for either shows or photo shoots. It was so fun. Then I got the feeling that I wanted to started doing more things to build my own brand. I enjoy helping the people who have helped pave a way for me, but it was time I started paving my own. I then connected with different stylist and creative directors and begin the job of a Freelance Stylist.
